CLUB MIXED PAIRS CHAMPIONSHIPS
What a wonderful competition. We had two full greens full of bowlers on Sunday morning 8 February playing through the day. It was a knockout competition so bowlers played one, two or three games under the hot summer sun! By the time we were done, we had our finalists – Penny Jackson and John Halden (defending champions) and Denise Martin and Rob Martin. The final was played on Friday 13 February under the lights, with our full Friday night crowd on hand to watch. The weather was perfect. The bowling was highly skilled. Another competition that came down to the last bowl rolled. In the end the defending champs pulled ahead and stayed there. Congratulations Penny and John! Well done Denise and Rob! Wait until next season!
