Congratulations to our Division 3 Red Open Gender team for going wire to wire in first place and finishing on top in our division and in the 3 Division 3 colours. Next week we have a chance to play for the flag!
Our Ladies Gala Day is Friday 13 May. We’re looking forward to a great day. Perfect bowls weather is forecast and we have a special luncheon planned.
Over the past year we have continued to work on our facility upgrade, thanks in no small part to a generous member and also to grants from the State of WA and the City of South Perth. Our synthetic A Green has been everything we hoped it would be and with new banks and cover our B and C Grass greens are just about ready to go.
We are an old “young” lawn bowls club. By this we mean that we have grown tremendously over the past five (5) years and we are looking forward to more growth going forward. Our pennants program is definitely on the upswing, with 5 of 9 divisions earning promotions last season. We are interested in new bowlers and in bowlers from other clubs who want to be part of something exciting. Our social members are tremendous too! Our Bar is open 7 days a week and we really want to be your Community Club!
In the coming year we will be working on our Strategic Plan for the next 5 – 10 years. We would love to hear from you if you have suggestions or input. We are also continuing to improve our club grounds and facilities which is part of our strategic plan. We want the greens to be good for our competition and we want our clubroom and hall to be inviting for our members!
